I've been searching for the essence of the difference between dungeons in OoT and WW, and I'm hoping for some feedback on what I've got:
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:50:05 AM): ocarina of time's dungeons have rooms that are distinct from each other
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:50:16 AM): in general there's no gimmick that ties them all together
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:50:22 AM): (exceptions: water temple, shadow temple)
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:50:29 AM): (iron and hover boots)
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:50:38 AM): but in wind waker
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:50:47 AM): each dungeon has a central thematic gameplay element
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:50:57 AM): forbidden fortress: sneakin' around
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:51:03 AM): deku whatever: deku leaf
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:51:09 AM): tower of the gods: controllin' crap
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:51:36 AM): it doesn't always tie together the dungeon rooms strongly
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:51:48 AM): like tower of the gods, that controlling spell isn't used too widely
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:52:01 AM): but in general the thematic gimmicks of wind waker are stronger than they are in oot
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:52:12 AM): true or false GO
Cheesetrooper 2 (12:52:50 AM): in wind temple, it's using beakgirl
